I began writing as a business way back in 2018. Since then I have spent more time learning how to get my work in front of readers than I have in actually writing stories.
It is surprisingly difficult to obtain reviews - even from readers who love my books!
Why? A Reader Survey reveals the most common answers:
- It's too difficult
- I don't know what to say
- I mean to do it, but forget
- I don't think my one review will matter all that much
While no author wants to "tell" you what to say, we don't mind helping you along!
Here's how you can change the life of an indie author:
- Write your review and place it on Amazon, Goodreads, and one other of your favorite sites - do it as soon as you finish the book so you don't forget!
- Use one of these summaries of the book - just a couple of sentences telling others what the book is about.
- A Tale by Tallulah Louise is a sweet, clean, romance about Tallulah a modern Southern woman who is in love with Mason. She has to navigate her love life, work life, and family life all within an amazing Southern culture. Great read!
- This book is a great example of Southern family life. I saw so much of my life growing up in these characters. Can't wait to read more from this author.
- Southern life and romantic comedy- what a great combination. I love the characters and Tallulah's strong personality. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
- What did you think of the book? Was there a favorite part or favorite character?
- Give your recommendation
- I thought this book was a wonderful surprise and highly recommend it for a fun, easy romp through the South!
- My favorite characters were actually Rhett and Kailey. I can't wait to see what develops between these two.
- I loved this book! Tallulah's parents remind me of so many of my family members. Entertaining but also very authentic and real. Get this one for your collection for sure!
4 stars or more is fantastic!!
That's it! When you take the time to share your experience with other readers, you are ensuring your new favorite author will be able to keep writing and truly make a difference in their career!
